Summer Hill Bed and Breakfast
Accommodation at the seaport town of Castletownbere on
the Beara Peninsula West Cork.
Summer Hill was designed and constructed in 2001 as a
purpose built B&B Guesthouse with all the very spacious
bedrooms being ensuite. Natural timber is a feature
through out the house.
We also provide both free
Broadband Wireless access and secure parking for our guests

gateway to the rugged beauty of the Beara Peninsula
where Bere Island, Eyeries, Allihies and Dursey Island
beckon historian and sightseer alike.
Castletownbere or
Castletown Berehaven is the principle town of the Beara
Peninsula and the largest whitefish port in Ireland and
the second largest natural harbour in the world. This
attractive colourful town is internationally known.
A busy fishing
harbour, depending on the time of year you may enjoy
fresh crab, lobster, crayfish, prawns, salmon, mackerel,
scallops and whitefish caught by the local fishing
fleet.

Beara has over 600 historical sites,
including stone circles, ring forts, megalithic tombs,
burial tombs, souterrains and standing stones, some
